Walking through the streets of Faversham between 29 March and the 9 April 2020, I saw a town quieter than usual, with empty streets and fewer people outside. Faversham does have quiet times and it is not uncommon to walk through empty streets, early evenings or on Sundays, but it is rare to see so very few people walking around. These photos were taken in the middle of the day during the week when it normally is busier. They illustrate the impact the government’s measures have had on Faversham since the outbreak of the coronavirus.
